About the CFP Survey

The Chemical Footprint Project (CFP) Survey is a comprehensive assessment tool designed for product manufacturers, brands, and retailers committed to safer chemicals and materials. The Survey consists of 19 questions, with a total possible score of 105 points, and is structured to accommodate a variety of business perspectives.
 
Who Can Participate?
  • Product Manufacturers & Brands: Complete the Survey to evaluate your chemical management practices.
  • Retailers: Choose to respond as a brand (focusing on private label products) or as a retailer (including both private label and all products sold from external manufacturers and brands).
Reporting & Confidentiality:
Survey responses are aggregated and published annually in the CFP Report. Participants may opt to:
  • Remain anonymous
  • Disclose their participation
  • Disclose their responses and score

2025 Survey Modules
In 2025, participants can select from three specialized modules, tailored to different aspects of business operations:
  • Product Module: For those selling, licensing, or distributing products.
  • Manufacturing Module: For organizations with manufacturing operations.
  • Packaging Module: For those addressing chemicals in packaging materials.
